You could try removing the air filter and see if it happens again. Just dont drive on any dusty roads!

This appears to have been the problem. I picked it up last night, drove the hell out of it and so far no problems. I think I am going to try and get a box so the CAI rest on it like the C&L does. This one did not come with an air box.

 

So when it died and you were trying to figure out what was wrong you did not notice the filter was off or loose? You did'nt grab at it when you were fiddling around trying to find out the prob. Seems a little strange that they said that about the filter and you did not notice it.. Just curious..

 

Don't forget to wipe the inside with alcohol and let it dry good before putting it back on. Be careful and only apply it to the filter lip where it seals to the MAF. I had a Steeda that did that until I cleaned it good. Just my .02
