I AGREE 100%

It would be a very sad state for the US public to honestly find out how much credit card debt the rest of the US publc is in!

Think our country is in debt? You haven't seen NOTHING!

Being debt free is the making of a rich man! Oh to be "rich" again..lol

If your on an honest day-to-day grind like 90% of the people hear maybe a second job will help. Having a mod addiction and credit card is assured financial destruction. Man if only I had time for a second job[>:]

+110% (which is what portion of their incomes most people seem to spend)

Not to mention the hidden costs of mods (well there are plenty of others, but...) BREAKAGE!

Particularly if this is your primary car - you need to understand if you modify it, it might break in a big way and your expense for a mod just doubled (or more)...

Blown engines, head gaskets, fried computers, broken trans, broken rear, all manner of expensive fun that leaves you without a car...

If you can afford the interest (which on a credit card will typically triple what you actually pay for something), then just wait a while and stuff what you would have spent in added interest payments into a savings account...

Use that to pay for your mods...

On that note def get a cheap second vehicle. I'm looking for a used S-10 or sonoma myself, or a crotch rocket, speed and fuel economy. I'd def own a bicycle if work wasn't 25 mi round trip.

I'll bet half the people on here wish I would buy a crotch rocket just to read my obituary

Would you really want to finance mods with money that you don't have and risk the repo on your car from bankruptcy? Just don't get a second job selling drugs [:-]. The only thing more silly than financing mods would be trying to gamble to get the money for them. Just my .02
