Default Mikronite(Ring/Pinion)

So Mikronite is a process that apparently stengthens as well as reduces friction on many metallic sufaces. Its almost like a polishing process, but not quite. They have done it on Ring and Pinion sets and it has said to allow a more free spin without stress on the material, reduce the friction, make it quiter and stronger. Anyone done it or any comments? (did a search; nothing came up)

Here is a link to their website.

Here is an example of a Ring and Pinion before and after.

Hmm, it seems like it would be a really good and effective process. They have done it on brake rotors, springs, etc. and it seems to make a significant difference to all of them.

JDM offers it on their gear sets. It is about $200ish extra. Not quite sure if I am on board with it or not. Not that it is a bad thing, just not quite sure it does everything advertised. Would love for it to actually be able to take the noise out of a set of Motive 3.90s. If that could happen, I would certainly belly up and buy a set.

Not on their web site. Call them and they can discuss it with you.

From, what it says and claims, that seems to be a reasonable investment. It makes sense that it reduces fric and makes it quiter. Definitely seems like something i would want to hear someone with experience with using them or who has them talk about it before getting them.
