did you have to remap or is the airaid doing fine on 87, any check engine light , im asking because i am looking for a intake and dont want to reprogram anything right now, i also hear the k@n is the same ,what was you reason for this one .thanks

The Airaid is not going to cause any issues until you remove the venturi tube and increase the CFM. Then you have to have the MAF tables remapped. Otherwise you will go into failsafe. It is pretty much 2 for the price of one. Run it out of the box, or chuck the venturi tube, retune, and get even more power out of it.

I took out my venturi when I got my tuner but I kept it in case I have to go back to stock since I dont have a stock airbox. It is easy to remove or install it.

hey,how's everyone,while we are talking about the airaid intake,i think i have to clean mine,only had it for like 6 months but its dirty,may be a dumb question but can you use the k&n cleaner to clean the airaid.i have the k&n cleaner here from my last car and just want to be safe.

Dont know but I would check both kits out before doing this. Also look on the airaid and K&N sites for cleaning procedures which also may be different. This is actually something I should look into because I have the K&N CAI for my wifes durango but the airaid on the mustang,

thanks music and mike,i just cleand my engine department and when i pulled my filter off after i took the bags off to clean under it,i noticed alot of crap in it and it doesn't look near as red when i got it,i figured i should reoil it.by the way,cant wait to order my tune from b ama,going to do it thursday when i get paid.
