Default Friday run

I'll be taking my 06 mustang GT auto to the track this Fri.
Got a friend that has a s/c s2k who kicked my **** on the street from a roll.
He'll be asking some of his friends with stock s2ks to come over.
he's convinced that stock s2ks will take my stock gt or it will be dead even.
What do you think?
As I mentioned I'm bone stock for now and have an auto. I miss driving a stick but with the traffic here in Chicago I have no regrets.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

you and the S2k will be close being that your auto. . . that will be a "whoever wins takeoff" race. . . look to get them at the tree and in the 60ft, you should be a lil better in the 60 where your a heavier car. . .

watch for the s/c S2k to have traction issues, he may not run that good from a stop . . .

any tips on how should I launch it? rpms? etc? tcs on/off?
should I try to shift manually?
Sorry to ask this n00b questions, I just wanna make sure I make the best out of it.
And wouldn't wanna be embarassed by a 4 banger stock.

you know what dude, l dont know much about those cars but you will have no problem walking one of those cars stock for stock.. ok s/c one can take you but stock ones l REALLY dont think so ( but anything can happen) the only advantage they got is they are very light cars. and they run mid 14s so you should be fine.. HOPEFULLY!

Power brake to about 1800 rpm with TCS off, then nail it in the middle of the last yellow. Leave it in D with O/D off and let it shift by itself. With a stock tune you should launch with very little tire spin.
