RE: BBK Throttle Bodies in STOCK!!!!!
Well I talked to Brent over at Brenspeed last night and he said he should have some of these in and installed for some real hp numbers by the end of next week. So the speculations will be confirmed or squashed..cant wait to see what he comes up with..who wouldnt like another fairly cheap 10hp??? I know i would IF it works!

RE: BBK Throttle Bodies in STOCK!!!!!
Good to hear, I am going to be testing one soon as well. we had a bunch but all sold to customers out of state. I am curious to see what brenspeed comes up with, and I hope they track test them as well. Dynos are for tuning, and thats it. Track is for the real results.

RE: BBK Throttle Bodies in STOCK!!!!!
As advertised the BBK 62mm twin throttle body is a direct bolt on part with no re-flashing of the computer necessary.
Installation took about 30 minutes using basic hand tools which was nice. The car hesatated starting after completion but was soon rewarded with a monstrous growl as she fired up. With a grin from ear to ear like a kid at christmas I closed the hood, put it in gear, and rolled out of the driveway.
Unfortunately my joy was short lived. Engine failsafe kicked in and cut power to what was a bear just moments ago. Apparently the ECU does not like the new part.
I was not provided with a custom tune from BBK for my Diablosport tuner and how convenient that BBK is not open on the weekends.
Anyway, I am very displeased with the false advertising and I hope that when monday comes around they will be extra helpful when I place my phone call.
If anyone has tips/advice please feel free to send it to rwilhite@austin.rr.com if not, post here.

RE: BBK Throttle Bodies in STOCK!!!!!
i have been told from the person I bought my CAI from (John DeMolet) that our stock throttle body flows more then enough air, and an aftermarket TB is a waste of time and money. the days of shade tree mechanics and making power with bolt ons and cam changes seem to be over. We have the computer to blame for this and the computer to thank for this (a double edged sword) I am more then happy with my 8.5 second ET in the 1/8 mile and my now 82MPH (before the TB spacer install best speed was 79MPH.
I did install the Steeda TB spacer and was rewarded with a 1 1/2 mph speed increase in the 1/8 mile, so i can recommend this and the cost is under a hundred bucks.
