Default Nitrous Confusion

Never used it nor plan on it. Some people make it sound like you always have the horsepower. I thought it was a temporary thing, push the button and go fast. People keep making references that imply it's a sustained HP increase, it isn't right?

Correct. You shouldn't be on the bottle more than 15 seconds at a time.

Default RE: Nitrous Confusion

Your correct Nitrous Oxide is NOT a sustained horsepower. You only get the extra horsepower when you hit the button. Basically all it is, is compressed cold dry air and as such has more oxygen so when you dump in more fuel with it you get some real nice horsepower boost.

Once you stop injecting the motor with it the horsepower is all gone until the next time you hit the button. It’s not like a supercharger or turbo where you always have that horsepower ready to go any time you want, nothing to refill, no buttons to push, no bottle to heat…
