I bought my SCT Xcal 2 from MMR. The tune really woke my car. I love driving it. Now that i put 4.10's on it, I am looking for excusses to go for a drive. I have a 06 Auto

I've heard they won't...but I think this is bogus. I seriously doubt Ford would have changed their comp package inside the same model. There's no mention of a computer upgrade between the 06 and 07 models from the Ford site, either.

Anywho, I want to find some kind of a link-up cable that I can connect a computer to. I have a laptop...Getting some handheld gizmo seems a waste of material when all I really need is a COM port, cable, and software.

how much power did that sct add from brenspeed? what about changes to your gas mileage?

Not really sure how much power it added but i think the most common hp gain is anywhere from 20-30hp depending on mods and such. Maybe someone who has had their car dyno'd can add a little more input as to the gains of the tuner/cai.

A GOOD tune and CAI will generally get you about 20-25hp.

As far as a tuner...definitly get the SCT XCal2. Also its the same for 05 and up.

If you are in NJ or anywhere close....

Go to Wicked Motorsports in Brick, NJ. By far the best shop to take your stang too.

what does the sct do that the diablo predator won't? also, i've been reading up on tuners and some are saying that after a year you have to take it to an autorized dealer to be updated or you'll have problems. what's that all about? can a tuner mess up your car??
