I don't think anyone makes an upgraded alternator for our cars yet. I suggest asking around at a car audio forum. The serious audio guys are those who use the alternators.

By the way, if you're worried about your electrical system, just don't bother with the electric pump. A heavy duty alternator is going to put even more drag on your belt than you would save from switching to the electric pump in the first place. (Becasue nothing is 100% efficient). Just stick with the mechanical pump and the UDPs.

Yes, if you get a supercharger you will need the stock pulleys back on the car.

I'll go ahead and re-ask one of the questions he had earlier because I have the same one. If my car is stock (other than exhaust) can I install steeda UDPs without a tune?

I think you do.

@snoogans, No re-tune is required.

UDPs never need a tune.

Tunes are required only for mods that affect the air/fuel mixture of the engine.

Gears man, Gears.

Unless you want a speedo that is wrong.

Summer did not effect me much except I noticed after the Udp's when the car was very hot, like 90 + after parked in heat it would take like 2 minutes for it to cool down were as before it was like 20 secs. After the 2 minute cool down there were no further issues. (STEEDA)

Well, this depends on your definition of a "tune". A tune file is air/fuel ratio tables. That has nothing to do with your speedo. Though, you are correct that a tuner can be used for speedo correction.

I have heard a couple stories of the mezierre breaking down. With a mechanical pump atleast you loose powersteering and such when the belt breaks. Also with the UDP's the mezierre will only give you like 2 hp or so.

I got the Steeda UDPs and let my mechanic install them. He didn't charge much and they got done right, lol.
