+1 million. It's the only way. It'll preserve your warranty and you'll have a "broken in " engine instead of a "broken" engine.

If you havent gottne the car yet, there is a sticky of informational documents up top of the main 05-06-07 section, In there is a pdf of the manual.

Try to vary rpms, drive conservatively for the first 800 miles or so with some bursts in the mid rpm range here and there. Just take it easy and you'll be fine.

The best way to break your engine is by buying a sledge hammer!

dont cruise at the same speed for extended periods of time. if your on the highway then every 20-30 minutes mash the throttle and get the rpms up to like 5500 for a few seconds before going back down the your cruising speed.

I tried to baby it for the first 500 miles, never really running it hard, even though the salesman and the service manager both said to drive it normally from the start. At 3000 miles I went to a racing event and ran it very hard for 2 days running 98 octane. After that, my gas mileage improved, the stock exhaust was considerably louder, it reved faster and performed better (this is all back on 87 octane too).

I don't know when a motor is thoroughly broken in, 500, 1000, 3000, 5000 miles???

You are not going to screw the engine, but use the search tool up there and punch in break in...we have discussed this topic before..
