Well, I was honest and told one dealership that I changed the gears. They said they would not cover it under warranty stating that when the clutch pack was removed they didn't soak it in the required Motorcraft Friction Modifier so therefore it is void. In addtion, eventhough I used Ford gears since they didn't do the installation they wouldn't cover it. No one can prove/disprove this but I tested it with this dealer as I don't like them anyway. Heck service person stated the gears do not impact the clutch pack. I told them thanks for nothing and reiterated why I don't buy cars there. I'll keep looking.

That blows! How in the world can they know that the packs were not soaked? Also should'nt that give you ammo for the people who did your install? Seems like if they did not soak them or what ever they contributed to the problem no? I would ask the installer to explain the procedure of what they did. I dunno man, seems like you have some things on your side to me.

Do a search because I thought I remember the packs not costing alot, thought I read that. Keep us posted bro, it "may" not be over yet.

Thanks dude! I actually just got off the phone with the dealership and salesman that sold me my car. The fact that he called me over an e-mail I sent him is a really good sign. The service I received during the purchase of the car was awesome with the salesman giving me his personal contact information in case I had any issues. He spoke with me tonight to get a full understanding and said he would take my information, TSB's and etc directly to the sales department tomorrow morning and call me back. I figured that is a good sign and he felt optimistic that they would help if they knew the clutchpack was having issues before I changed my gears (should of had it fixed them but didn't know enough at the time) and that it really should not be related. I will keep you posted but thanks for you help and information...very helpful.

Well, I took mine in this Tuesday and they still have it. They told me they put the cluth pack in but the new one was making some noise so they where going to take it out and put another new one in. I was mad that they still had my car but they gave me a loaner since they had to keep it and I got over my anger b/c I figured they where trying to make it perfect before giving it back. That meant alot to me instead of just giving it back and hoping I wouldn't notice anything. I hope they fix heavy's car and like you said there is no way in hell they would know if it was soaked or not. I'm suppose to get my car back tomorrow. We'll see.

btw they gave a 6 banger Charger to drive, want to talk about a boat !!! lololol

06 Black Beauty--- Why do they have your car for so long? I know they are replacing them for the 2nd time and all but it only takes a few hours so it should have still been back to you the same day if you dropped it off in the a:m?? at the latest the next morning. Glad they are getting it fixed right for you though. I'm just happy that mine have been all good since the TSB. (both of them) I hate taking my car to the shop.

Heavyg72---I just hope they work something out for you! I would hate to feel the dissapointment again in your words from in your next update like before. We are pushing for you!

Ah, just spoke to the dealer that I purchased the car from and they said they would look at it and if what I did didn't have anything to do with what is in the TSB they would fix it with no problem. I'm good with that I guess. So I will be taking it in next week and have them look at for me. Thanks again for all the help and input.

I just got my car back today and I was pissed !!!!!!! 1st they left greasy gloves on my passenger seat and then they chipped the hell out of both the rear calibers. I went off on the service tech and the manager. the only thing the manager offered was a free oil change. I will never go back to this dealer.
