Newbie question on Saleens.
Can some of you guys explain to a new Mustang owner how a Saleen is "created"? Do you buy a GT and then ship it somewhere to get the Saleen mods done? How much does a Saleen cost over a GT?

RE: Newbie question on Saleens.
You can either buy a Saleen from a Saleen dealer like Campbell Ford in Niles, MI, or order it direct from Saleen. I believe if you order from them, then you still end up picking it up from an authorized dealer unless you happen to live close enough to their factory.
I don't believe that you can send in your own GT and have them make it a Saleen. Part of the appeal of the Saleen is that they are factory produced in limited quanities and each one has a production number stamped (well, painted) right on the bumper.

yeah jaismit is right. if you wanted a saleen look-alike, you could buy the bodykit+wheels online for like 3-4k with tires.

I am pretty sure saleen buys a bunch of GT's then just puts their parts on them. If you go to their website they have a ton of GT take off parts for sale that they wouldn't have if they were producing their own product.
