Don't know if you are auto or manual. I have had 4:10 gears for 6 months in my manual 05. I went from 2500 to 2800 rpm's at 80 mph. As far as mileage, not even a half mile per gallon loss. The car launches great and cruises at 80+ with no problem. It pulls to 120 before I think about 5th. JUST DO IT! If you are in an auto, maybe 3:73 is a better choice.

Hi John,

Depending on your driving habits, your gas mileage may decrease just a bit. For instance, I'd say 70%-80% of my driving is on the freeway. Before the gear swap, I was averaging about 21 mpg (I've got an auto). After the gear swap, I'm averaging close to 20 mpg, 19 mpg on the conservative side. In my case, the decrease in fuel economy was not substantial. In fact, I've read on here of guys who swapped gears that did a fair amount of city driving who actually increased their mpg, abeit an insignificant gain in fuel economy.

Let me get to my point - if fuel economy is an important factor in your decision, I wouldn't touch a thing on your car. If you're looking for (argueably) the best bang-for-the-buck mod, go with a set of 4.10's and a programmer.

Feel free to shoot me a line if you have any additional questions before the change - I'd be glad to share my insight...

Nick
