Default problems with gt

About a month ago my car started running really bad. Across the entire rpm range including idle the car would missfire and accelerate very very poorly, I took my mods off the car, reflashed to stock settings and took it to the Ford dealer. They had my car ready later that day, upon picking up my car the service advisor said the #6 & #8 plugs were fouled and they replaced them, they then ran tests on the car and said misfire was no longer present. Later that day the car started doing the same thing. I then took my car in for a second time, this time the ford dealer said the #2 coil was bad, so they replaced the coil and retested the car.

Well the car ran better for a few days, then the problems started all over again. I have'nt had a chance to take in back to ford yet. Hopefully I can get it in tomorrow. Now the car is acting up less often, but there is still a major problem with misfire and running poorly. Has anyone else had similar problems or have any idea what may be wrong.

the coils would be my first answer but do you notice anything else wrong like coolant smell, your oil looking beige or coffee colored, or smoke coming from your pipes?

No funky smeel, discolored oil or smoke. As soon as the problem developed I checked all my fluids and monitor them daily. I may do some research on buying aftermarket coils.

what is the year of your stang? the 05-06 model had problems with the tank doing that mess and ford supposedly issued a TSB for it. take it in to the dealer and get it fixed.

Are you getting a Check Engine Light?
I did and so had to keep her in the shop for 6 weeks until they gave her a new engine.
