Default Do I need a new tune for my LT

Quick question for anyone who knows the answer. I currently have tunes from Fred at Evo and Brent at Brenspeed for my C+L CAI. I am having the kooks LT with cats and x pipe installed. Do I need a new tune?

No you do not. Only if you were running O/R. I personnaly spoke with Dave at Brenspeed. I'm also running B a m achips tune and Doug told me a tune is not required. You're good to go!!!

Yes, you do need a tune to get the most out of your headers
I just installed a set of SLP long tubes and catted x pipe and picked up a whopping 3hp
But that was before a tune
With a tune you might get 20-25 hp

did you have a tune BEFORE the headers installed
I currently have 3 different tunes from 3 different sponsors. due to my C+L CAI etc. So you are saying I need another tune for the headers also?

Dude, you really don't need a tune to install & enjoy your new headers, but to make sure you are getting all they could possibly give, you should get it done. Each motor is a little different and you might only pick up a couple of horses, but like the guy above picked up 20 or more. I'd sure hate to spend $1000 plus on pipes & not get optimum results. Besides, its good to know what your AFR really is[8D]

Yes I had a tune
I also have a Kenne Bell 8psi
It dynoed @ 430/417tq before the header install
After the install I brought it to my tuner and put it on the dyno it dynoed @ 433/423tq for a (BIG 3hp gain)
After my tuner tuned my car and about 10 dyno runs I got to 460/433tq
But dont expect that much gain
my car did big numbers because the air was real good
And when the tuner originally installed the Kenne Bell on my car he said there was more in it

If i put in LT's and don't retune then shouldn't the ECU be able to "learn" the modification and over time squeeze more than just 3hp out of em?
