I was able to get a hell of a deal because of when I ordered. (they had a sema special, and I was able to get them to throw in free shipping ontop of it) I paid $600 shippes

They have a very deep rumble.. I have had a bunch of stangs pull next to me to comment on my exhaust or ask about it. Even a terminator stopped me on the way to the track.

1 & 3/4th is what you want with a power adder...

I would buy the 1 3/4 regardless of your application, but especially if you have a power adder.

I have seen no measureable difference between 1 5/8 and 1 3/4 on a lightly modded engine. However, with a supercharger the 1 3/4 has a deftinate advantage.

That makes the 1 3/4 an easy decision if you ask me: no drawbacks on a lightly modded motor, but the extra breathing is there if and when you go for more serious mods like heads, blower, nitrous, etc...

About the headers...do i have to use the x-pipe for them?? Or will they work fine with the stock H-pipe? How much HP will i add with these headers? Will it push me over the safe HPlimit on my stock engine if i add the Saleen supercharger??

Your stock H-pipe will not work with longtubes. You have to get a matching midpipe (either X or H) to go with your new headers. Generally you would buy a kit with the headers and the new midpipe.

Longtubes are worth 15-25 RWHP on a naturally aspirated engine.

I wouldn't worry about exceeding your safe HP limit with the supercharger. You can always adjust your boost pressure so you are safe.

Ive read alot of these posts on headers and everyone thinks that shorties wont get any hp over stock. This is NOT true. Now, obviously you will get more hp from longtube headers than shorties, but both will gain hp overstock. Just look at the stock cast iron vs aftermarket equal length headers (shorties). With shorties you'll probably get something around 8-10hp on the dyno (from experience) and with long tubes you'll probably get 15-25hp like crazy al said. Shorties are right for some people because they are smog legal (JBA), they'll get you about 10hp, and they will greatly improve the sound. Long tubes are essentially an exaggerated version of the shorties; a little more expensive but more hp, different sound, and not smog legal. So, it really depends on what you're looking for.
