Default RE: Getting the Ford Racing Package next week!

I myself just picked up M-2006-FR1 this afternoon from Colley Ford here in SoCal. Paid $877 out the door, went down a few miles to a muffler installer, paid him $70 to have the GTA's installed.

Went home and installed the CAI, which took me almost 2 hours (spent more time looking for the right tools and re-reading the directions over and over).

Went to do the tune with the calibration tool and I get an error. The yellow led on the calibration tool blinks twice and I get a "dte odo data err"

Not sure what went wrong, guess will have to wait until Monday to call their support department.

I love those GTA's, even without the CAI or tune, the car was driving smoother and such a nice deep sound.

If anyone knows what's with that error, let me know...would like to drive it tomorrow...it should be in the high 80s here.

Thanks,
Mark

Well now I know what the problem is...I was sold M-2005-FR1 under the assumption it was M-2006-FR1 and I specifically told them it was for a 2006 and we specifically looked at the 2007 Performance Parts book and doublechecked the part number.

It was my fault for not doublechecking the box first...this is what happens when you get excited and assume the parts department is honest and not just trying to sell.

Does anyone know if I can use the Pro-Cal from the 05 kit on the 2006?

I don't think so, since that's why they have a different part number starting with the 2006. The 2006 and 2007 kits have the same part number. You could try to get FRPP to send you a new programmer for your car. With the 2006-2007 they need the full PCM part number.

I have the same kit but I'm using a Brenspeed tune for that intake, which is a rebadged Steeda intake. I'd highly recommend a tune from Brenspeed, it's a big improvement compared to the FRPP tune.
