Does running a 87 octane tune make any difference from stock? Or do you only notice any gains if you are running a higher level of octane like 91 or 93?

I have pretty much the same set up with under drive pulleys also and after a few phone cals to Brenspeed I was told you don't need a tune for the headers, I ordered all my stuff from brenspeed at the same time though so maybe a tune was included for my headers? who knows.. I ust asked the last time I called inquiring about modifying my tune for my upcoming SC. Power wise my car dyno'd 272 stock and 309 after al was installed. What was funny was I did 3 pulls on my car and each pull the numbers went up, the car had only 320 miles o it at the time and they told me after a few more miles once the engine loosens up some the numbers should go even higher but not drasticly higher, I havent been to the dyno since and am waiting on the rest of my SC kit to show before I return.

Those are some great mods to add i cant wait to throw on some long tubes... but its hard to tell without a dyno but id guess around 35+ ponies to the rear wheels but your adding some great mods with the 410s which dont add power but will def change the car and the nittos will help you hook up better so with those few mods your ready for some decent runs at the track.... you pretty much wont have a first gear anymore so it will take some practice shifting and launching but should be a really fun car the only thing ive heard about the 410s is .... for a drag car they are great but can get a little annoying for daily driving but id still do it get all the power you can unless your in stop and go traffic a lot then id go with the 373s ..... not to mention your car is going to sound bad ***

Ya, I am startin to get a little worried about how loud it is goin to be, I have flo-pro axelbacks right now with a 4" tip, and its actually pretty loud with that, so people say, I have never heard my car from outside. As long as it isn't too loud inside the car, I don't care. Anyone running a 87 tune with there cars though? If you want to switch from a 87 to 91, do you have to run the car completly empty and fill it with 91 before changing the tune? For the most part I would leave it with 87 octane, but for cruise nights or a trip to the track, I would change it for 91, unless it really doesn't make a difference at all.

Don't worry about the 4.10s. 1st gear is still useable, even at WOT as long as you have a decent tire, and maybe a few suspension upgrades like LCAs. The 4.10s were great, but I didn't haveto learn to drive the car again.

I have kooks LTs w/cats, and FRPP stinger type axle backs, and I am the border of being obnoxiously loud. As long as I am below 2500 rpm I am fine, but anything higher and at WOT it is LOUD. I couldn't imagine the sound if I had on off road midpipe.
