If you have an 07 with the base stereo and you go to replace the rear speakers, you'll realize that Ford really tried to screw ya on that. You'll have to basically gut the interior from the front seats back. I did it and documented everything and made a how-to post here:

Hope it helps ya if you decide to tackle the job. I also figured out a way to easily fix their screwup and make speaker replacement a 5 minute job like it is on the 05-06's

yeah there's no way i would go with a shaker 1000 system. it's like a $1200 or so add on and all it does is put shaker subs in the trunk. for that kind of money you could have a nicer aftermarket system. i did go with the shaker 500 and it sounds really d@mn good.
