Dont forget to include shipping when comparing cost, while borla direct is still better than some Ive seen it's not by much. I too am looking at the Borla stingers but cannot discount what Howarmat said about the FRPP stingers

RE: Borla Stingers Questions
I happened to have the cash for the catback system so that's what I got but I bet I'd have been very happy indeed with the axle backs only. Truth is, I didn't really know a good answer to why I'd want the over axle pipes rather than just slapping the Borla mufflers onto the stock pipes. But it does sound great and the car picked up some more torque and horsepower as well. It's almost night and day different than with the stock Ford exhaust. Don't know that it would have been as noticeable with just the axle-backs.

RE: Borla Stingers Questions
I put the Borla catback stingers on my stang and I couldn't be happier. It has a sound that is not over-the-top during lower RPM's, but at 4-5K it definitely commands your attention. The "drone"???? I think it sounds good, i love the way my car idles......and when at 1500-2000 RPM's the car sounds very tuned in. Hope this helps ya some. Oh yeah, I got my set for $630 shipped to my front door. RE: Borla Stingers Questions
While it is true that you are not going to get a noticeable performance improvement with the overaxle pipes, the nice thing about them is that they are 304 stainless steel. It would be kind of pointless to get them if you are just slapping some axleback mufflers on the car, but I decided to get them after I bought a 304 stainless steel header and H-pipe combo, so now I've got 304 from front to back. Not a big deal, but it looks nice (to anyone that is actually looking under your car) and kind of adds the finishing touch to a complete exhaust replacement. I don't know, I am picky, for some reason it would annoy me if I knew I had all that ugly brown stock pipe under there alongwith my ARH headers and Stingers.
