The 07 GT is still rated at 17/25 MPGwhile the Shelby is 16/23. The only parts of the Shelby mods that could adversely affect mileage are the FRPP tune and the 3.55 gears. The tune with high octane should improve mileage slightly. My guess would be that the difference is fromthe higher RPMs as a result ofthe higher gear ratio(3.55 versus 3.31 stock).

I ordered my '07 with 3.55's and it came in with the 17/25 and no guzzler tax.

But I think the difference is that the GT modelcomes standard with the 3.31 gears while the Shelby modelcomes standard with the 3.55 gears. Apparently, opting for a different gear set within a model line does not affect the mileage rating, although it probably should.

my 06 came w/ 3.55 stock and ive also gotten 25mpg before in it (ive also gotten it down to 12.8, lol)

dont know; the modds are intake/tune/short throw shif/ exhuast. It also has frpp handling pak, cant see how that would effect it.

thanks for the replies everyone.

the gear ratio (3.55) didn't change according to the
window stickers.....I'm interested in knowing why
the mileage went down (2 mpg on the highway).

i believe my mileage was improved, after installing
the cai + tune and going with 91 octane.
