THE 302 BOSS CRATE ENGINE

RE: THE 302 BOSS CRATE ENGINE
That block is different than our current 281's. It's like the 302's that was used in the origional Boss 302's from 69-70.
It had 4 bolt main bearing caps, Cleveland 351 heads & a host of other tweaks over the stock 302s offered by Ford @ the time.
It won't bolt into the new 05-07 Mustangs. I'm sure it could be engineered to fit, but would require much modification. It's also originally designed to be a carb engine, not fuel injected as the current ones are.
My last Mustang before my 06 GT was a 70 Boss 302, so I've a bit of background on them.

I think I remember correctly, I was reading somewhere and they said this motor is built mainly for N/A applications. I'm sure it could handle a blower but I think it is a high horsepower "all motor" motor.
