i would say 10 inch for width would be ok until you start to need spacers... 10 inchs is the widest ive heard ofor seen on a mustang... but im not positive...
The real issue is how much tire you want to stick outside the wheel well. You can fit very wide tires but they will start to stick out after you get so wide.
