I Had done this with my 2000 GT, Droped in a K&N airfilter, and Removed the Air Slincer.
Well Now I have a 2007 GT and did the same, is this ok...
Get a CAI and tune and dont even bother with the drop in!!

It's a piece of Plastic that is right under the Airbox that limits the amount of air that comes into the box where the air filter is!
in my 2000 gt it add about 15HP, 10 more miles to mygas tank,and a deep sound as more air enter the enginge
bwahahahahahah you would of gained 3 rwhp from a CAI, unless its a typo and its 1.5 hp?
