Flowmaster 40 series??

RE: Flowmaster 40 series??
just planning on doing a simple muffler change...will i notice any difference? I just dont want to lose the throaty sound the stock has, although it is very quiet. A pissed of weed-eater sound would suck if thats what it would end up sounding like.

RE: Flowmaster 40 series??
Ya I put two 40 series on my 07 and they sound great very deep and throaty. My exhaust is all stock except for the mufflers. The only thing that I don't like is that they are not as loud as I wanted them to be. Don't get me wrong the are much louder then the stock mufflers but not as loud as I want them to be. I plan to put some high flow cats on and that should bring up the volume.

I have the Super 40 series flows. I like them...they are throaty and have that nice gurgle sound i like in decel. They get louder over time, they seem to be much louder now that I have my CAI and 93 octane race tune tho. I'm happy with um. If I can find my battery charger for my dig camera I will get a clip and post.

RE: Flowmaster 40 series??
I bought a set of Stainless Steel 40 series and had them made into a slip on axle back set just like the stock mufflers on our cars. I've since decided to get straight pipes because I'm a guy that wants to wake the neighbors. The 40's were only on my car for a month before I got the straight pipes and have since been packed and stored in my shed. The entire set up is stainless steel from the tips to the extension pipes that feed into the exhaust system. I would be willing to sell them if anyone's interested.
