Anyway, I think I'm going to spend the extra money and go the Corsa route. I'll be putting these up on eBay next week, or if anyone here is interested PM me. They have about 100 miles on them...
Consider also the FRPP GTAs as a replacement. They sound great, have no drone, and are a lot less expensive than the Corsa's.

Thanks for the tip! I'm thinking about a few different ones right now. I nearly bought the Corsas last night but hesitated when I hovered over the buy button with $650~ worth of mufflers in the cart, lol. I realize they are nice, but that is just hard to justify, and I'm worried they might be a little on the tame side as far as tone. I've been thinking of maybe trying the SLP Powerflo's with the 4" tip. I can't really find any information on them however. They seem to be straight thru which should cause less drone overall, but who knows...

Corsas last I checked are pretty damn expensive but most people here besides me and maybe a handful of others have money for mods all day long. I personally love my Macs'. They are very handsome and sound ****ing sexy and the drone I personally like. I love passing somebody and the throttle is snorting and then changing the gear into overdrive and listening to the drone in fifth. To me it ****ing rocks.

The GTAs have a nice tone to them, more aggressive than stock and they scream at WOT, but not much louder than stock at idle or while cruising. There's a good vid on youtube.com which compares stock vs GTA. Sometimes I wish they were a tad louder. I'm thinking of adding the FRPP X-pipe to smooth them out and bring the volume up a notch, while avoiding the drone.

LOL! I went through the same thing, but the sound is so good from the outside I kept experimenting.

I have the Mac axlebacks, a Bassani catted x-pipe, and BBK shorty headers. I started from the axleback and moved forward. With each new piece, the drone became less an issue.

I drove from Maryland to SouthCarolina last year for Mustang Week, with a passenger, and with the windows UP do to a rainstorm the whole way down, and the drone was manageable. Still, I'm glad this isn't my daily driver. But for fair weather cruising and dragracing on weekends, it's the perfect sound.

Search on "jwgroovin" on YouTube. I have videos with each component of the exhaust. And excuse my pronunciation of "Bassani". If I hear one more nitpicking critic...

There isa drone around 1800-2000rpms, but as someone said earlier it is more controlable with a manual. I've had friends who weren't "car guys" comment on how good my car sounded and the exhaust note is a nice one IMO.
Overall I like the sound, the drone is loud but race through that portion of rpms. My wife complains about how loud it isand that her head hurts if we tool around town.

Yeah mine is just a weekend toy, but I need to be able to enjoy it. Daniel, I don't know how you do it buddy, but the Macs definitely sounds badass, I'll give you that. Is your exhaust stock otherwise I wonder?

I still couldn't find much feedback on the SLP Powerflo's after looking again. Since everyone seems to like the Loudmouths, and also since I have a strange compulsion to be different, I went ahead and ordered a set (and got a ship notification like 30 minutes later, lol). I will put them on this weekend and let you guys know what happens. If those drone as badly, I may decide which one I like better and take it to a muffler shop to see if they can do anything in the way of a resonator... Keeping my fingers crossed now...[8D] I got the new version with the 4" tips BTW. http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=M31012

Yeah, Macs dont work well with an auto tranny. With a 5 speed the drone is from 1800rpm to 2000. It is very easy to bypass the drone by either down shifting or upshifting
