I LOVE my MACs!! My wife hated the drone so I had 4.10s installed and WHALAA, no drone at all! I get that BADASS sound without the drone, and people go WHOA!! when I pull up!

**** I'm getting gears next! I honestly like the drone .[&:]
Yeah, me too...I like the drone. At first I didn't, but now I find myself upshiftingon purposeto get in the drone range since it's so loud and just echoes off of building and houses as you go by...sounds bad ***. When I'm not in the mood for the drone, I just shift out of it or accelerate through it faster. I'm putting 4.10s on soon (on order) so the drone range should go by faster now anyway. The mufflers that I listened too that had no drone at all sound too quiet to me. The deep sounding harmonics on our engines are loudest at 1800 to 2000 so the louderthe mufflers arein that range (drone), the louder the mufflers are when they are out of the drone range. That's why some many guys get compliments on the MACs since they are nice and loud when you get on it. They are nice and deep at idle too. I get all kinds of compliments from guys on how nice they think it sounds. If I had an automatic tranny and couldn't shift out of it I might feel differently, but they sound fantastic on a stick.

[align=left]I have to agree with Mudflap, the drone really gets to me, and especially my wife! I do really love the Corsas, like everyone says expensive but worth it. One person even commented, "heck you spend almost $30,000 for the car it should be worth it." They really do look great, with really high quality construction. They are basically a straight through pipe (I posted pix on my "Corsa Pypes Violator Swap" thread) with only a small internal opening where the drone frequency sound waves must get absorbed. The idle is very nice, low deep rumble. If you get on it at all it really rocks. I think the hot exhaust gas must pass right on through at higher rpms making it act like no muffler at all. Kind of a Jeckll and Hyde thing. If you drive it easy (like leaving your house early in the morning) it is only a little louder than stock. But when you step on it, WOW! I have heard that a straight through design will have less drone, but from what I've read here, only the Corsas and FRPP GTA's have no drone. One member posted that he was very happy with the Borla 'sreet' (not Stinger) muffler, but I don't know if they had drone. Also Pypes has a new system (called the Beast I think) which places the mufflers way forward under the car, with long tailpipes. That might cure the drone also. Good luck, keep us posted on how you do.

Yeah I'll definitely let you guys know how the SLP Powerflos are. This site seems to be lacking any particular review of them, so I guess if nothing else at least I can provide that. I am expecting them to drone a bit, but I'm just hoping it's not nearly as bad as the Macs since they seem to be pretty straight thru. We'll see, they are arriving Thursday so I should know by Saturday evening...

I went with the same setup as Manystyles, I hooked up some resonators on my stang and the drone is lower... Macs are amazing.. Perfect sound with O/R H-Pipe.... Im always driving in the city and I always get ppl to ask me to revit and everyone loves the old school sound... Drone is a love/hate deal...

Does anyone know if the Steeda axle-back exhaust has drone? My neighbor down a few houses has this exhaust on his Mustang and it sounds great at idle and low rpms. I haven't stopped him yet to ask him if he has any of the dreaded drone.

I think every exhaust system for this car has drone except the Corsa & maybe the Ford Racing GTA's. People will saytheir exhaustdoesn't drone because it probably doesn't bother them. My opinion of course.
