Default Saleen Alternator Pulley Removal WTF?

Hey guys and girls. I'm in the middle of a Saleen S/C install and it's time to remove the alternator pulley. Problem is the instructions say "remove the pulley using the saleen alternator pulley removal tool which you will find in the kit" I'm looking in the kit but I'm not seeing anything that looks like a "tool" that would remove this pulley.

Any idea's? I'm done for the night anyway. If worst come to worst I'll take it to the Ford dealer and hopefully someone there will know how to do it.

Thanks!

The "tool" is the special socket that fits down in the midle of the pulley. It has little "teeth like" edges that mesh perfectly with the ones around the center of the pulley.

Found It! Thanks Wally!

Wally, I also tried to download the JDM tune to my SCT tuner but I get an error saying that it's "not a valid liveload file". This is a tuner I bought from Brenspeed with the CIA and tune I got from him. His tunes load with no problem and the file extensions are the same (.ll3).

Any ideas there?

Thanks!

Glad I could help. About the tuner though, maybe someone else can help you out. I don't know what to tell you. I've never ran into that problem.

be careful with tuner issue...i had the same problem an it f-ed my car up..i tried to use a live load update patch and it messed up the tune somehow...so jdm had to send a new tune to an actual shop that does sct dyno tunes...he loaded it with his live load and all seemed fine...however to make sure i shipped my actual tuner a week ago to get the tunes put on it by jdm...still waiting to get my tuner back...albeit my car does run great with tune they sent again to the tuner..but i wanted to have the actual tunes reloaded by them to be sure...try going to sct and make sure you have the latest live load update patch (it may be needed) good luck to your new found power...

Did you get the tune from JDM? If so, call Jim, I'm sure he can help you. I didn't think they were emailing tunes. Normally you need to send your handheld in to them and they will load the tunes on it. If you didn't get the file from JDM, there is a good chance it isn't for your ECU. -Joe

Be sure to download the newest liveload update from SCT. If you dont have it it will give that error message.
