ORIGINAL: Screamin Yellow 06

I just finished installing my JDM/Saleen S/C. I haven't drivin it yet because I think I have a problem with the intercooler pump.

Anyway, while idling I noticed it's got a pretty good whine to it (the s/c) Is this normal. It sounds as though it's the S/C itself not a belt noise. I'm assuming it should make some noise but since this is my first one and I've never really heard one before I just want to make sure this is normal and I don't have some other problem. I've heard other people say they are very quite. I wouldn't call this quiet exactly although I am still running in the garage.

yes it will have some noise....Mine has been installed a little over 2 weeks...as it breaks in the sound from the charger will get slightly louder (But by no means irritating) the SC will have a slight howl to it and you will definitely hear it when you drive it...at idle the noise is that of like a clutch spinning freely...light howl with a metal noise...(NOT GRAVELY, as some have described..) welcome to the family,....by the way..change out the pulley and hear the sound you will get...ENJOY
