Default REDUCING ENGINE HEAT

I have been driving my 07 GT 5-Speed for about 4 weeks. The car has not actually overheated. It just gives off tons of heat and the under hood area is always hot. This is very noticeable if I pull it into the garageright after driving. What can I do to get the car to run cooler or give off less heat?

Put in an 180 degree thermostat. It will help a little on heat soak. Also find ways to feed fresh air to the engine bay or vent away the hot air. Some people like to run hoses from the ground to the air box to deliver more air but you could also vent the air to the engine bay also.

get a big a$$ aftermarket aluminum radiator and dual 16" elctric fans.

It says this one is twice the size as the stock radiator

Not much you can do. The heat is a function of the total power produced and the overall efficiency of the engine and drive train. Generally, power that is not used to propel the vehicle is given off as heat. If you want to cool your engine down quicker when you pull into the garage, you could raise the hood to allow the heat to dissipate more rapidly (while leaving the garage door open).

Newer engines run hotter than previous generations, and they are designed to work that way, unless you are really seeing higher than average temperatures and detonation as a consequence you shouldnt worry about it. Also in order to save weight these cars have very little isolation under the hood that can lead you to beleive it is overheating when it is not.
Keep an eye on it because overheating can have very nasty consequences but I've never heard Mustangs have any kind of overheatimg problems neither stock nor midly modified. SC's amd Turbo apps included.

The largest contributor to heat in the engine bay is your Exhaust Manifold/header. If your really concerned, some header wrap should help keep heat in the exhaust and not in the bay. If you really wanna spend some cash, Ceramic coating on your manifolds would really do the trick. Another trick that would work, like already mentioned, duct some air up there, and add a cowl induction hood.

Hook up some Nitrous and spray the crap out of the entire engine bay.

I hate heat soak myself. My first run at the track is always the best. Then I lose 2 or 3 tenths after that.

New hood w/heat extractors? Like the 3dCarbon one I think.
