motor swap

Default motor swap

i was wondering if a 06 mustang gt motor will bolt up to a 99 mustang gt. as i know someone who has wrecked an 06 and its totalled. and i want the motor so will it fit into my 99. and what problems will i run into ECU?? and what not..and how can i go about getting around these problems. and what not.

Unless the insurance company is going to take the car back, I would use the car as a donor car. You are going to need the wiring harness since the 3v motors are drive by wire, and the ECU of course. It might be worth it to maybe just do a complete swap... motor and trans since I would think the 06 has less miles on it.
