Aw Crap, How Much to Repair a Rock Chip on the Hood
Up here in the friggin far North, we use bolders from the Canadian Shield in the winter. It is usually too cold for much salt so that is a good thing but....
Was out for a cruise and I heard a loud clank from the front of the car. I don't recall seeing any vehicles but I guess something passed me. I didn't think anything of it until I looked at the hood and there is a dent the size of a quarter and a 1/4" scratch.
The first place quoted $500 bucks to remove the hood and repaint the whole thing. Another place quoted roughly the same. Sheet!

Perhaps but I would still have to get it painted....
The price of living in Canada is that things are way more expensive. GT's list for $43,000 here in Canada. How much do you guys pay down south (not that I paid 43 but we can expect the high 30's)
A supercharger up here will set me back about 10 grand. US price is $5 grand. We get screwed big time for our toys. Even worse, now that our dollar is less than 10 cents away from yours, nobody will pass it on to us. This is why I buy my crap from the the cheapest places, usually mail order through the US. They want $535 for a UDP, I can buy it for $200US. I will be going to Seattle for a toy run soon.
Don't get me wrong, the other perks up here more than make up for it but ouch, it is almost 2:1 (you buy 2 toys, I can only afford 1).
