Anyone have Steeda Shorty Headers?
Iwant headers, but do not want to go with long tubes until the warranty runs out. Steeda has a set of T304 stainless steel headers for $329.95.

Has anyone installed these headers? If so, what is your take on them? I know that they are only going to give you 5 - 8 hp, but the price is right!

I know this isnt Steeda, but the JBA shorties didnt really do much. They were a pain to install and a pain to take off when I had the longtubes installed. If I were you, I would just wait and go for longtubes. Shorties wont really do much but change the sound slightly. I would just go for longtubes. I thought that longtube headers dont void the warranty though...???

shorties are crap, save your money and get longtubes. the only way headers can void your warranty is if they can prove it was the reasoning behind a malfunction. shorties will only give you 2-5 hp plus its the same install prices. dont go cheap on your car dude.

I thought that there was a problem with codes when the O2 sensor location is changed. I know that you can turn the sensors off with a tuner, but doesn't that void the warranty?
I want to go with long tubes, really, but I don't want to have an O2 sensor problem. It is a little more difficult to return to stock if you do need warranty work done. I figured that shorties would give you a little bit while not changing any of the exhaust work behind the headers. I thought that $329.95 was a good price for headers made from T304 stainless steel.

The stock exhaust manifolds are less restrictive than in the past, and if you put shorties on now, and you decide you want long tubes down the road, you'll have to redo exhaust system again. And if you want to get lowering springs for your car, there could be a problem with long tubes and clearences. Just a thought
