Default Projector Headlights

I did do a search but the topics were kinda old.

I'm thinking about buying the black projector/halo headlights that they have at Mossmustang for $350. I am avoiding the cheaper ones because I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I'm a little leary about the ones that are a lot cheaper on e-bay and on other sites.

Anyway, if you've had these installed I'd be interested to know how you like them. I read on some posts that some people had put their stock headlights back on after trying these but they may have been the cheaper ones, I don't know.

I do alot of night driving and the stock headlights are kinda week (even though they look good).

Thanks

SY06,
I have NOT bought these for our Mustangs but I have for 3 other cars. All of them look real nice but are JUNK when I needed light at night! I tried PIAA, Siverstar and other bulbs in our 05 Denali (they were like $300) and NOPE every last one of them gave less light then the stock bulbs. I'll never try them again unless it's for LOOKS only!

I have Saleen HID for our Mustangs now and YES they are worth the money!! (assuming some think the aftermarket projectors are worth even $200)

Yes, just so you know... The ones at mossmustang are the identical ones on Ebay. Except a lot more expensive... But they're the same ones from the same Jap provider. Other sites carry them also, again, just for more money.

Your best bet is to wait for the 2008 Mustang HIDs to be available... Or buy one of these cheap ones and reseal the edges with silicone, and just make sure they stay in good shape...

i have heard that for 2008 mustang lights there is alot more to buy then just the headlights to make it compatable....not sure if that is right or not. Either way though i would go for the saleen HIDs, they are beautiful

The saleen ones are the real deal. They provide alot more light. Most of the aftermarket Halo's look nice but give less light than the stock bulbs. you decide what you want.

I had them on my 05 V6 and I bought them from Ebay for $150.Had them for almost a year up until I traded up and Inever had a problem.Lighting was about the same as stock. The only thing that started to annoy me after a while was that I felt like a ricer with the Halo and LED Projector Headlights. [sm=smiley13.gif]But that's all on you.
