I can tell you being Whipple's largest distributor and having sold over 130 2005-2007 Mustang GT Kits we haven't had any of those customers ever call us with a belt issue..

Is it possible? Yes
Are there other things that may be causing this? Yes

So with that said I wouldn't let one persons issue which may be due to their installation cause a panic.
