Default Need serious tech help

Allright I'm an idiot! I'll just get that out of the way.
Car is an 06 gt.
I swapped headers yesterday. So I had to remove the steering shaft to get them out. Now while the steering shaft was out I thought it would be fun to turn the steering wheel a couple a times. Well I got everything back together just fine with no problems. Untill this morning when I go for a ride. evidently I turned the wheel a couple a times, so when I tried to turn out the garage The wires for the airbag, horn and cruise controll broke.
My question is, is it just a matter of finding the wires and reconnecting them? Or is there some part I'm going to need? Will I be able to do this on my own?
Hope there is someone who can help.
I was pulling out of the garage to go trade the car in.[:@]
I would really hate to have to spend alot of money on this car right now.

bite the bullet, have a ford dealership do the
wiring repair.... you'll sleep better knowing
the next owner is not in any danger.....

if you turn the wheel with the shaft disconnect the wire under the steering wheel broke you will have to replace the clocksping under the steering wheel

I'm going to tear it apart today and see if I can figure out what a clockspring is.

ford part# 6R3Z 14A664 AA retails $43.04, pretty simple to install.

Clockspring is pretty much the wire harness for the air bag, horn and cruise control swtches. The wires are flat and coiled around. I wouldn't recomend repairing the wires. The air bag resistance for the wires is very sensative and you don't want the air bag to deplay. You probably have a code B2293 in the air bag module or the light flashes once then nine times. Just take it into your dealer for the airbag light being on and don't say you took the shaft off.

Thanks all! I got it out in about 15 min. I'll try the dealership and see if they have one in stock. If not I'll try the junk yard. Is this a vehicle specific part or do they use the same on a bunch of cars?

in my experience working at a dealer parts dept I don't think I've ever seen the same clockspring shared between different platforms. Taking into consideration the mustang does not platform-share, and our model-specific neat-o retro steering wheel to boot, I'd imagine only the s197 uses that clockspring...

If you do get one from the dealership to do it yourself, Make sure to disconnect the battery before you start and don't pull out the yellow tab on the clockspring until its bolted up.Otherwise you'll run into the same problem.
