Brenspeed or JDM?

RE: Brenspeed or JDM?
Brenspeed is still developing the Saleen blower package. When I talked to them they haven't even got everything together that they will need to get the proper setup to start running tests on the dyno to figure out what kind of tune they will go with. I'm sure it will be a beast when they get it all done though.

RE: Brenspeed or JDM?
Thats true I believe Brenspeeds is due out the end of this month. I have heard great things about JDM's tunes, but have dealt with Brent so the nod goes to him in the event I go the Saleen route. I likd Drbob's idea of getting a tune from both...

RE: Brenspeed or JDM?
Well it's no secret that I HATE Jim Dick'Amore Sr. at JDM. It's also no secret that JDM directly caused the destruction of my 10K motor.
Having said that, I would recommend you to get the tune from them. Jim Dick'Amore Sr. is a crook, no doubt, and only interested in getting your money. Once he's go it, he could give 2 craps about his customers, but he is also one of the best Saleen tuners in the country IMO.
I garuntee you the people who rave about JDM never had an issue with them. Every single person who had an issue with a part or service has nothing nice to say about them, believe me. If everything goes good, then your golden, but in the modding world, it's just a fact that sometimes things don't go perfect and you need some help with issues that may arise and that is when you DON'T want to be dependent on JDM.
I'll tell you what I tell everyone with a Saleen....
Use JDM for the tune...period. They are the best for that. Stay away from buying parts or getting any engine work there.
BTW: the ONLY reason JDM doesn't work with the BAP is because they want to sell you their Saleen GT500 dual pump set-up for a whopping fee. Now they will tell you all kinds of stories of why you need it and why it is better than the FRPP GT500 set-up (which is cheaper by the way and the one that is actually IN the GT500). One of their best one's is how their Saleen version 'wiring' is so much better...lol
But I challenge you to make a thread on ANY mustang forum on the internet and search every available source you can think of and ask, "who has had any problem at all with a BAP under 520 rwhp?" I promise you that you will not get one response cause their aren't any issues at all at that level and the dual pump set-ups are overkill and not needed for anyone under 550 rwhp.
You'll be dealing with Jim Jr. when you talk to JDM and he's a pretty stand up guy. Just keep your wallet away from his father...
