I have good news for you! Your FM/8 track receiver has been recovered and it is being shipped to you. The bad news is you must refund $200 for it LMAO.
[quote] They paid off LONG ago. When aftermarket stereo equipment became available, a whole new "Midnight Auto" business was born. That was one reason why most insurance companies reneged on paying out claims for the stuff. Theft was rampant. I owned an electronics repair business at the time, so the price I paid for the unit was "cost" which gives you some idea how much the average person had to pay for these items. No "big box" stores back then. When the average car was 3000 bucks and the aftermarket audio equipment could easily reach 300 to 400 dollars, THAT was a big hit for someone to take when the stuff was stolen. I guess the best "alarm" system is a paging system. Someone breaks into your car, your pager goes off, and you shoot the bastage. [sm=shootshoot.gif]

RE: Car Vandalized
I feel for you man. I too am very cautious and hate finiding even the smallest dents or scratches. Now that's school's over I've been lucky but the car will be parked in a parking garage while I'm at college and it won't be driven much. So I plan every day or so to make a walk out it to it just to check the body over.
As for your security:
A) Turn the normal hood release into a dumby and move the cable somewhere else less obvious
B) Turn the hood release into a dumby and make an electric release somewhere
C) A combination of the two so that it takes even longer to open the hood.
