Default Quick question

The liner under the hood is made to keep heat out and reduce noise.

Does this mean that If I take it out it will keep the engine cooler?

Will it hurt the hood paint/vynl?

I know people have taken them out before but I dont know how many DD have done that...I think it does protect the hood but cant really say for sure.

I would just leave it in to be on the safe side.

It's only there to reduce noise from under the hood and smother an engine fire. For whatever reason, my car (and a few others on the forum) didn't even come with the blanket. If you don't like it, yank it out. I've got 5K miles on my car and the hood is fine.
