Default ECU Questiono

Okay, My GT has a saleen blower on it. Saleen installed and tuned it to 435 hp. Now my question...my battery went dead and the dealer warrantied me a new one because it only has 14k miles. When it was in the dealer they said there was a fuel issue and needed to reset the computer after changing the battery. Will reseting the computer erase the tune that Saleen had put on or will it stay in the memory? I've been driving it for a week and haven't had any issues but how will i know if its running lean or if there is an issue?

Resetting the computer will not lose the tune from saleen. I know someone else will chime in soon but I have a tune and have had to reset the computer after the battery dying many times and have had no problems at all. I am sure I have read this on another post. JMO and hope I am not wrong but I never had to reflash the computer for my tune after a battery install. What was the fuel issue?....it might have been a rough idle or something and that happens often after pulling the battery as the computer relearns everything after the battery has been replaced.

have you been into boost at all in the
last week? if so and if you did not get any
CEL's...your probably good to go

use your own good judgement tho, if you
feel your engine may be at risk....do what needs
to be done......

Boost was the first thing I tested and it seemed fine still running at 6psi. It could be just in my head but there seems to be a little loss in power which I thought was a fuel issue but thanks for your input =]

Yeah, disconnecting the battery will not make you loose your tune because that tune at least is not stored in the KAM, which isall that is erased when the battery is disconnected.
