Default A quick, unique question

Lets just say that my car was stock. I wanted to install the 4:10's by themselves. Would I be able to use the SCT Xcal 2 to adjust the gear ratio without uploading a tune?
Cheers

Since the only way that I know of to change your gear ratio and wheel and tire size (revs per mile) on the xcal is to reload your tune and opt to change the parameters between the steps of selecting the tune and loading it, I don't think so...I may be wrong...but if I'm right, I suppose you just have to find someone with an ODB2 scantool, they should all do it, and if worst comes to worst, find out what a shop would charge...I may be way off on this, but I don't see how...even if you loaded a tune with parameter adjustments, and then returned the vehicle to stock, the adjusted parameters would go back to factory along with the tune, right?

You can adjust the rearend ratio with the tuner. You will need to go through the reprogramming process still though on the programmer.

Technically you have to install a tune.....its a modified stock tune.....all that is changed is the stuff you mess with. Nothing else is touched.
