Go to Wal-Mart. They sell a low profile jack. It will get under the side of any lowered Mustang. The handle swivels in all directions also.
Not sure about jacking from the front and hitting the bumper. I have never tried to jack from the front in the center.

I realized today while changing the oil how low the cars are. I have two Craftsman jacks, a 3 ton and 2 1/4 ton. The 3 ton wouldn't go under, the 2 1/4 would. No blocks or bricks needed.

Thanks for all the info, I think I'll try the 2 by 4's and use my regular jack so I can finally put this mgw shifter in!
