Pypes Mid-Muffler System Special!!
Finally i can put some imput down. lol I have had this system for a month now and love it. The first 2 weeks there was a drone at 2000 rpms, but after i broke it in a little that went away. I have an x pipe on it to give it that deeper tone. I really recomend getting this system. The company i went through didnt give me good instructions at all so i had to take it to a muffler shop. Its all welded up now, and only a few clamps. it tucks in nicely and i have only bottomed out on it once. (going to fast over a bump) If i had a camera i would put some sound clips up, but all i have is my phone and that wont do justice. I would deffinitly recommend doing this on a hoist. I attempted in my driveway, but ended up not doing it because of the clearence issues. Feel free to ask any questions! I can answer with expierence!
Well i had it on jack stands as high as it would go and i just didnt like being on my back and trying to play with the exhaust. Its alot easier on a hoist if ya got one or can get ahold of one. If you cant then it will probably just take you a little longer to do and give you just a bit more aggrivation.
I actually got to do most of the work with them because the shop was dead and i had been there many times before. I didnt really have to mess with it all that much. I got the x pipe welded on, then the extentions from that, and the mufflers slightly clamped down. After that the over axle pipe went on like a breeze. The stock one was a pain in the *** to get off. Lucky i cut the pipe in front of the H for the new X which gave me some wiggle room to salvage the piping from the H pipe back. Like i said though, it will be alot easier if you had a hoist and 2 people. I couldn't imagine doing it in my driveway after doing it on the hoist.
the over axle pipes will come out
i had my car on tire racks in the rear and jacked up the front and they will come out, just gotta jack it up high enough....howarmat, i'd also like to know why you switched from the stingers, just feeling the pypes vibe or what?

i dont know if i am getting rid of them or not...i am going to try the over axles with the stingers for awhile....that should sound the same as stingers with resonators....so that should take car of the trumpeting, make the sound smoother and deeper, i think it would be quieter though to which i am not going for really.....not sure yet though. Then i will put the pypes tips on and see. Not sure what i will end up with yet.
okay so has anyone else completed this? How is the sound with the factory Cats? I'm reaaly considering this now, heck everyone wants 200-250 for used SLP's and I think this may best the best bang for the buck.
