Default Is there a difference.?

Is there a difference between the bulky steeda udp's and the ones I believe I saw on blow-by racing?

The light, cnc'd ones on blow-by claim 15 hp, brenspeed claims 10 with the steedas

I don't think you'll gain much power reducing the weight of the crankshaft pulley, what matters is the size. I stuck with the Steeda pullies because I've seen alot more people run those than any other pullies. Plus out of all the companies that make UDP for our cars, Motoblue, BBK, etc. Steeda seems like the most reputable and reliable. I've seen people running Steeda pullies without any issues for years now.

Brenspeed says that Steeda pullies along with a electric water pump will give you about 15hp. Pullies by themselves are about 8-10hp. I think 15hp from pullies alone is way too optimistic on our cars.

The thing to remember is that the crankshaft pulley also works to balance out any harmonics created by the engine (hence the reason it's also called a harmonic dampener). So what you are calling "bulky" is actually mass that is allowing your engine to keep from tearing itself apart in half the time is would normally wear out in. There is a reason Steeda's are considered direct factory replacement parts by Ford for the purposes of warrenty.

Personally, I will trade a couple of horsepower to have my engine last an extra 75K miles...

I have the steeda udp's.....they are garbage. UDP's in general are garbage. You will see no added hp in your peak gains.

So if your car peaked at 275 rwhp before pullies, it will peak at 275 after pullies. Completely worthless

Is your car supercharged? I noticed the gauges on your A-pillar.

Sorry, I couldn't see it in your signature, its blocked from here at work.

UDPs also improve throttle and engine response.

I'm going to be installing a Steeda UDP and billet CMCV deletes plates soon. I'm going to start a thread with my results when I'm done.
