Default short throw expert opinion

alright, with a short throw shifter im scared of it being really foamy (for lack of better description, it feels like it doesnt click into place fully), how do short throw shifters feel? is it worth it to get a hurst short throw shifter for a daily driver? i like feeling it legitmately click into place, i dont like when its unsure. opinions/comments on this?

I love my hurst, you definately can feel it when it "clicks" in. Very definite. Much shorter too than stock. I dont see it being a problem for a DD

The hurst for lack of better words sucks. The MGW I know from first hand experience feels very firm has very positive shifts but not notchy its worlds better than the hurst. Ive heard good things about the Steeda Tri ax as well as the Pro 5.0.

I liked it right away. It cuts the distance in half and gives you confidence from 2nd to 3rd.

Man, you are going to get 100 different opinions on this, and all of them correct from the owners POV. My suggestion is to find a local club and get a feel for the different options.

if its for a daily driver, you may not need a SS shifter, its better for slamming gear shifts and not missing 3rd, but any short throw shifter will be stiffer, if you just want the look you can just change the shifter ****. i think stock shifter is fine for daily driver.

My FRPP/Hurst short throw shifter clicks into gear. I definitely know that I am in gear with the forward gears. Reverse took some getting used to. I have tried a Hurst shifter on another fellow's Mustang GT and it was loose and clackety. I am as much enamored with the retro look of my shifter as I am with the short-throw.
