Unless u're going for landspeed records, i dont see the point to even needing to go further or faster.

How about this: when you get over 140, just continuously reset the ave. speed on the message center.

...I'll look for your horrible car accident on the news...

Wind resistance these cars arent designed with the aerodynamics to go those speeds not to mention when everytime you doulble your speed you quadruple the wind resistance so the amount of power required to get your car to the 160 and above is ridiculous.

Just because a car can go that fast, doesn't mean that it should. What's the handling and breaking like at 140 mph in a Mustang? Probably pretty scary.

Ive taken her to 140 before my gears and she handles surprisingly well very little turbulence. I didint have to brake hard but from experience at lower mph it would be incredibly scary with stock brakes.

I've hit those sppeds on a dry lake bed. Never on the streets. I'm trying to fing pictures of my classic mustang but I think that had a140 or 120 mph gauge. They might have just been going for the old school look still with it. And yeah people don't always give you the answers to a question.

I've heard that a stock GT will only make about 145 MPHon a good day due to resistance factors. Without that, you could redline in 5th gear somewhere over 200.
