I am a recent Stang convert, but weren't most of the SN95 CAI kits fenderwell mounted? They way I read the article seems to be tailored to Pre-05 CAI issues with the KB. Or I could be smoking crack [8D].

Sounds like KB is trying to sell SC's.
+1. When I spoke with KB before buying a S/C they spent more time running down their competitors and laying out the 'FUD' (like the OP quote) than responding to my questions.

I don't like that.

Corrostive to rubber maybe but not in an engine. I only spray at 4lbs of boost.

The one thing KB forgot to mention is that on the 05+ mustang gts there is a hole cut from the engine compartment into the fenderwell were the CAI sits. I would have to believe that with the heat shield it does not suck in just hot underhood air, granted its not as good as having the CAI stuffed into the fender, but better (IMO) than what they are claiming.

Do LT's have a significant effect on reducing under the hood temps?

They normally raise underhood temperatures because they are less well insulated than the cast iron manifolds.

The KB Shelby blower has the intake under the hood, so there you go. It was actually a negative in my mind have the intake by the ground, We get an azz load of rain here in the NW, so I built a little shield by my intake.

so true IMO too!

Sounds like KB is trying to sell SC's. I've monitored my ambient air temps and intake air temps and the difference is marginal, 5 degrees when going 60mph. I'm sure having the filter in the fender well has a temp advantage at idle, but it's probably not much since it still has to travel through that long hot tube.

Does anyone know where the pcm sensor is at for ambient air temp?
