ratttle from under the car when going into reverse??

ratttle from under the car when going into reverse??
So it just started in the past 3 weeks. I start my car up as normal. then when I put it in reverse I get a rattling noise from under the car. Is it the heat shield?? Is this the noise of something going in my tranny? what can it be...the exhaust is all tight all the way around...Anyone?[/align]

Weird, my car does this too, and it's an automatic as well. It's been doing it for a while now, but I've not noticed any problems related to the noise.I kinda figured it has something to do with the exhaust mounts, but who knows.

Getting it as well(manual), And not just reverse, the very beginning of first after a cold startup as well... Mineseems like a resonance issue...what the hell it is idk and havent been able to crawl up under there yet...if you do get it resolved please post.

yeah mine just started as well. I thought maybe it was the heat shield...but it seemed ok and tight...then I thought something to do with TC but again no driving issues. The kicker is it only seems to do it when it is cold....thats it....not bearing noises, that much I know,,,i am wondering if it is exhaust related and the sound goes away after warm up...I will try and crawl under there again and see....

I have tons of rattles, but not that one.
Mine rattles at the corner of the dash where it meets the upright for the front glass. It rattles really badly at the shifter ( auto). It looks like maybe I have another rattleto look forward to!!!

There is a thread on this somewhere where somebody fixed the problem. Its the spacer between the engine and tranny. mine is doing the same thing but havent gotten a chance to bring it in.
