Problem shifting into 2nd
I did a search here and found a lot of info on issues with shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I have been noticing on my car getting into 2nd gear is a pain a lot of times, and this is at different RPMS. It's a lot more noticeable when the engine is still cold. Anyone else have this problem? Just wanted to ask before I call it in for service and hear some bull from the dealership.
Thanks
Shifting from 1st to 2nd under high rpm's can be a pain sometimes because the tranny torques a bit and moves in relation to the shifter which is remote-mounted to the body of the car itself and doesn't move. (see the thread "a mechanical question" posted today in the 2005-2008 general section.) I don't know of any 3rd to 2nd gear shifting issues with normal use.
My tranny (TR3650) can sometimes feel overall a little sluggish (especially in cold weather) until it warms up a bit.

purchase torque convertors...your shifting will be much easier

Did you notice the posters are talking about manual shift points?
Back to reality, the stock shifter assembly is a POS and will not hold up to powershifting with even basic bolt-ons.
A 'good' shifter (not the stock look-alike hurst) and the CHE brace with torque limiters will plant your tranny and allow you to shift some decent power and powershift like a pro without breaking the bank...
