Default LiveWire?

i've noticed that pretty much everyone and their mom has an XCal II, but i have yet to see someone with a Livewire. is there a reason for this beside price? Brenspeed says they write tunes for them so i'm wondering if maybe like dyno shops can't use them or something. just curious since christmas is coming up and i want to get a CAI/Tuner package. i'm thinking going with a WMS Ram Air CAI, SCT Livewire, and then ordering a set of 3 tunes from Brenspeed. opinions? something i should know about Livewire compatibility?

i'm not everyone, and i'm not their mom either, but i do have a livewire. it is easier to use than the xcal II or III bc you can manually change things within the tune w/out ordering another tune such as different CAI, installing CMCV deletes, turning off rear O2 sensors. i suggest if u dont mind spending an extra 200 bucks its worth it. and the shop that is 2 minutes away from my work place is an authorized SCT dealer and has no problems using/tuning w/ livewire and i would think anyone else is the same. the only thing that doesnt work quit properly is the hp/tq estimator, its way off. i went on their website and they said they are working on some new firmware to come out next year. but all in all i would recommend the livewire. you can also use it like the dashhawk to monitor engine temps, maf flow and a lot of other stuff that i cant remember right now. but if you are thinking about getting it, get it!

i was thinking JLT because it looks flippin sweet and i've been thinking about entering my car in a show or two once i do a few other things to it. it is also compatible with the Saleen S/C that i want to get later on down the road. it'll depend on how much money i have to spend later in the month when it's time to buy. chances are i'll end up with a JLT2, though.

thanks for the response man, it helps a lot.

I just got my LiveWire and I recommend it. It's easy to use and it has loads of options that the regular programmers don't have. And yeah, the hp/tq estimator is off. It gave my stock car 1000hp. So hopefully the fix for this will come soon.
